Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2020 (No age limit)

* Some of these Professional Societies / Institutions, which conduct examination in various fields of engineering, are as follows:

• - The Institution of Engineers (India) (IE)
• - The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
• - The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)
• - The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI)
• - The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (IIChemE)
• - The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)
• - The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE)

The candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies (IE,ICE,IETE,AeSI,IIChemE,IIM,IIE) and have enrolled on or before May 31, 2013 are also eligible toparticipate in GATE 2020. The candidates who have enrolled with these institutions after May 31, 2013 are not eligible, vide public notice (Advt No. P&AP/10(04)/2017). Data Requirement for Filling the Application Form: The following data will be required
while filling the form at GOAPS:

Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents' name, parents' mobile number, etc.). Please note that the name of the candidate in the application form must exactly be the same as that in the qualifying degree certificate or the certificate issued by the Head of the Department/Institute in which the candidate is pursuing his/her study. GATE 2020 scorecard will be issued as per the name entered in the application form. Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Dr/Mrs/Smt, etc. should NOT be used before name.

1. Address for Communication (including PIN code)
2. Eligibility degree details
3. College name and address with PIN code
4. GATE paper (subject)
5. Choice of GATE examination cities
6. High quality image of candidate's photograph conforming to the requirements specified
7. Good quality image of candidate's signature conforming to the requirements specified
8. Scanned copy of the Eligibility Certificate in pdf format (Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate or Certificate from the Head of the Department/Institute (in the format specified in Appendix A)
9. Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate (if applicable) in pdf format
10. Scanned copy of PwD Certificate (if applicable) in pdf format
11. Scanned copy of Dyslexic Certificate (if applicable) in pdf format
12. Details of the valid Identity Document (ID)(The same ID, in original, should be carried to the examination hall)
13. Net-banking/debit card/credit card/UPI details for fee payment
